We walked into the office, a blank canvas buzzing with nervous excitement. None of us had been here before…

Launching a startup is a journey into the unknown and at Reveal HealthTech, our shared naïveté became the building blocks for something exceptional. This wasn’t about polished corporate routines or pre-defined hierarchies. This was about learning, pushing boundaries, and crafting a culture from the ground up. We knew we wanted a space where curiosity bloomed, where ideas collided and sparked, and where growth wasn’t just promised, but woven into the very fabric of our existence. And grow we did!

Today we live by the Values of Reveal:

S: Strive for the Best

C: Customer Obsession

O: Open & Respectful Collaboration

R: Resilience

E: Explore, Question & Learn

But even before these values were shaped, we had unsaid operating principles which helped us build a sense of camaraderie and commitment to our shared goals.

  • Structured Chaos: We strived to provide a structured environment amidst the chaos, so that people could focus on key activities instead of getting lost in the chaos. Processes were built to enable growth, not to restrict flexibility or the freedom to explore.
  • Continuous Learning Ethos: We nurtured an intrinsic passion for learning, encouraging continuous development among our teams.
  • Shared Vision and Belief: From the beginning, we instilled faith and cultivated a collective commitment to Reveal’s vision and the future trajectory of the company.
  • Milestones Valued, Mistakes Embraced: While we were valuing milestones along the way, we also embraced mistakes as invaluable opportunities for growth.
  • Big-Picture Mindset: We always focused on the grand vision, while diligently working on day-to-day tasks.
  • Transparent and Open Communication: We fostered a culture of transparency and openness in communication, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.
  • Commitment to Customers: As a young company, we were committed to doing whatever it took to ensure a pleasing experience to our customers and contributing to our customers’ progress in their goals.
  • Work from Anywhere (WFA) PolicyRecognizing today’s evolving workscape, we adopted a hybrid model of working from the get-go, allowing flexibility that combines remote work and in-office collaboration. In addition, we embraced a WFA policy, offering our teams 20 days per year to take breaks, visit family and combine their annual leave and WFA allowance to have longer holidays.

From the first few weeks, these unsaid operating principles became the backbone of our work culture. Our “amazing people” (yes, that’s not just a slogan, it’s a fact!) fit like Lego pieces, each unique strength forming a vibrant, interdependent whole.

Every shared coffee break, every brainstorming session, every late-night huddle fueled a connection that transcended titles and departments. However, we also knew that a startup family needed more than just shared snacks and caffeine.

So, we ventured outside the office walls, embarking on an offsite adventure that cemented our bond. Laughter rang through the air as we tackled team-building challenges, and quiet conversations deepened our understanding of each other’s dreams and aspirations. We returned not just as colleagues, but as a team, ready to conquer the world, one pixelated hurdle at a time.

Building a company culture from scratch isn’t just about beanbag chairs or ping-pong tables. It’s about fostering an environment where vulnerability meets encouragement, where learning is celebrated, and where every voice rings true. We’re still writing our story, each chapter filled with the messy joy of experimentation and the shared thrill of achievement.

So, if you’re looking for a place where “You come into a startup to learn and grow,” look no further. We’re not just building a company, we’re building a community. Join us, and let’s write the next chapter, together.
