Overview
A leading home care company needed to drive margin improvement in response to regulatory changes. Reveal worked with their team to streamline internal operations (esp. in scheduling) and implement a modern data infrastructure.
Key Challenges
Scheduling process was inefficient due to limitations with practice management system and inability to easily incorporate data across multiple sources. This reduced company margins through necessary over- hiring on scheduling team, as well as inability to fill patients’ requested appointments.
Our Approach
We partnered with technical, operational, & clinical leaders throughout the company to carefully study scheduling workflows and identify opportunities to leverage Al & automation. Based on these inputs, our cross-functional team of machine learning engineers, product managers, & designers developed a custom interface & data platform for streamlined scheduling.
Outcomes
Developed a proprietary Al scheduling tool that reduced labor inputs required within the scheduling team, both in present and future states. This reduced scheduling inputs by 90% and enabled the company to grow more scalably. We also implemented a modern data warehouse to support further Al & automation, accompanied by automated dashboards that minimized labor needed to prepare reports for leadership.
